Meat and Seafood Manager
Mississippi Market is hiring a full time Meat and Seafood Manager for our West 7th store. Responsibilities include meeting goals for sales, labor and margin; managing the ordering, receiving, cutting, packaging, and stocking of meat and seafood in a full service environment; supervising the Meat and Seafood staff; modeling and ensuring excellent customer service; and working with the Selby location to fulfill orders and coordinate pricing. Qualifications include: knowledge of meat cuts and at least two years of experience cutting; experience purchasing poultry, seafood, meat and other perishables; computer literacy; supervisory experience; and strong communication skills. Familiarity with natural foods preferred. Essential physical requirements include: Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds, and up to 70 occasionally; ability to work on feet for entire shift, moving between the sales floor, coolers, and freezer; and ability to frequently bend, stoop and reach. Currently available shifts include: Sunday-Thursday 6:30am-2:30pm, but may vary.
