The Operations group provides support, help facilitates discussion, and exchanges ideas and information about the many complex areas of general operations and management work at food cooperatives. Group members are individuals who are currently employed at a food co-op and engaged in operations and management work (general managers, or those responsible to their co-op’s board for operations). We are looking for a distributor of Fair Trade and/or organic flowers.  Does anyone have a source for this, preferably in the Southeast?

Water Supply

Hi! Do you have a policy regarding what to do when the public water supply has been temporarily shut down for your store? Do you stay open? Do you allow employees to leave? What is expected of administrative employees? If you do remain open, are there any items which cannot be handled / sold by cashiers (I believe that items intended to be eaten on the premises on not allowed, per the Health Department)?
