Organic Valley was founded in 1988 as the Coulee Region Organic Produce Pool (CROPP). A cooperative of small family farmers, the organization dedicates itself to promoting regional farm diversity and economic stability. Organic Valley defines "organic" as a system of philosophy and production that mirrors the natural laws of living organisms and emphasizes the interdependency of all life.
